How and When to use Will and Be Going To:
If ‘be’ is used in the future (will be), then the construction is called the future progressive; for example: The president will be visiting Peru next week.
These are the words we use to talk about things that will happen after today – later.
I will travel to Recife tomorrow.
I am going to travel to Recife tomorrow.
The difference between Will and Be Going To:
Use Will when you want to talk about the idea that you are willing to help in some situation.
I’ll help you fix your car.
I’ll open the door for you.
Use Be Going To when you want to talk about an idea that you have planned.
I bought a new suit because I’m going to the conference this weekend.
I’m going to do the homework you gave me tonight.
Use Will or Be Going To when you are talking about something you believe will happen in the future.
She will be happy because her daughter won the award.
She is going to be happy because her daughter won the award.
